    Description

    Chinese late Qing to early Republic period Wang Bingrong style lidded porcelain ginger jar with applied decoration of a heron in a marsh among lotus plants set against a mustard ground.  The domed lid is decorated with a lotus flower among leaves.  There is a nice iridescence to the glazes.  Circa 1900 to early 20th century.  5 1/2" high x about 5" diameter.  Very good overall condition.  There is a tiny nick to the foot that might be from the original production.  From the collection of a former American expatriate to China from 1983-1987.
