Chinese Fortune sticks have great Cultural/Religious in China, and are used in a similar fashion to a Western fortune teller. If you were facing a situation, something you couldn't decide or lacked insight and guidance, people would go the temple and pray to the Buddha and ask for help, then they would use the fortune sticks as a guide. You would pray, then shake the box, the first stick that dropped to the floor from the box would be the one the Buddha revealed , and would contain your answer.
There are 60 sticks in the box. Along with the sticks, there is an Written English Guide to the sticks which explains what is the fortune associated to each stick.
